Welcome to the Leadership Training Institute
The Leadership Training Institute is a 4-day intensive
institute for early to mid-level social and behavioral researchers who are
women and/or persons of color interested in advancing their careers.The goals of the LTI are specifically designed to help researchers
- Establish career goals that match with personal and professional priorities
- Address specific challenges and opportunities for diverse researchers
- Navigate the funding world at various career stages
- Build networks to support research and career advancement
- Expand research team management and leadership skills

The 2008 Leadership Training Institute will be held
Research Support and Participation
This LTI is presented as part of a funded research contract
from the National Institute of Mental Health (HHSN271200774104C). The study is
designed to identify the most effective way to provide women and persons of
color with the information and training they need to achieve high level
academic research and executive leadership positions. All applicants accepted
to the LTI must also consent to take part in the research study to be eligible
to participate. Please see the FAQ section to get more information about the
role of research participants.
